Bible Verses To Think About #2

Here are some verses from the Bible for you to think about this weekend, as you stay away from "woke" churches and their unbiblical teachings. I do recommend looking these verses up in your Bible and reading them in context. Context matters. What translation of the Bible should you use? For now, it doesn't matter - the Bible wasn't written in English, and there is no "perfect" translation. The following verses happen to be from the NKJV.

Bible Verses To Think About...

Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. - 1 John 3:4

If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you do well; but if you show partiality, you commit sin, and are convicted by the law as transgressors. For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty. - James 2:8-12

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? - Romans 6:1,2

For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. From Slaves of Sin to Slaves of God. What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not! - Romans 6:14,15

[Jesus Speaking] Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I say to you, that unless your righteousness exceeds the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter the kingdom of heaven. - Matthew 5:19,20

The bottom line is this: We do need Grace, but Grace should never be used as an excuse to sin. We are still expected to keep God's laws, in letter and in spirit. But when we fail, and we will, we have Grace to save us.
