Let's assume you have your basic preps covered - a few weeks worth of food and water in your pantry, an emergency radio, flashlights, extra batteries, a high-quality first aid kit made in the USA, a bug-out bag, a good survival knife, etc. Now you find that you have some extra money left over at the end of the month. What should you spend this extra money on to enhance your family's future survival? Well, there are a lot of possible good answers, but here is my Top 6 suggestions, in no particular order, to help you survive Dystopia:
1) Junk Silver - Silver will be a means of exchange even after any collapse of the dollar, or if you want to maintain privacy in the new digital economy, or if you are forced into the underground economy of black markets for whatever reason.
2) Guns and Ammo - As crime grows and the world becomes more and more dangerous, the Elite are doing their best to make self-defense impossible. Access to guns and ammo will only grow more restrictive and more expensive in the future. Gun and ammo confiscation is still their ultimate goal. Suggestion: Look for legal ways to buy your guns and ammo without being tracked (avoid using credit cards) or registered. This varies greatly from state-to-state, so do your research.
3) Long-term Food Storage - Expanding your food storage, especially with foods that keep for many years, is a GREAT idea for surviving Dystopia. Augason Farms is where I get powdered butter, eggs, cheese, milk, and other long-term foods for my Survival Pantry.
4) Pay Off Debt - "The rich rules over the poor, and the borrower is the slave of the lender." -- Proverbs 22:7 (NKJV). Yeah, I get it. This is probably the least sexiest advice to give folks, but honestly it is among the best advice.
5) Buy Information - Over the last 30 years or so, information has largely become digitized, and books in physical form have all but disappeared. My local library no longer has physical copies of encyclopedias, dictionaries, atlases, and many other traditional reference materials. It is all on the Internet now. This provides a great means of information control by Big Tech gatekeepers on behalf of the Elites and the Deep State. And with the rise of Social Credit Scores, Internet access may soon require certain scores to get certain levels of access. Of course, your own physical library of books will never require a special password or a certain social credit score.
6) Cash - Yes, the dollar is dying, but it is not dead yet. Until then, Cash is still King. Having a certain amount of cash-on-hand, and in an emergency fund at a bank or credit union, is a very good idea. How much? It depends on your own unique circumstances and concerns. But typically, more is better.
