Are You the Proverbial Frog In a Pot of Boiling Water?

We all know the story of the frog and a pot of boiling water. Toss the frog in a pot of already boiling water and it will immediately jump out. But put that same frog in a pot of regular water, then slowly bring it to a boil, and the frog will cook to death.

Are you the proverbial frog in a pot of boiling water?

There are bad reports disasters and impending disasters all round - exploding cattle, exploding trains, exploding infrastructure, olive trees killed by disease, war in Europe, war with China, war in the middle east, a mass invasion of illegal aliens on the border, a declining dollar... the list goes on and on and on...

When reading bad reports such as these, some folks seem to expect the worst almost immediately, then when it doesn't happen immediately, they dismiss it as a conspiracy theory, or just another doom-and-gloom headline trying to generate clicks. They become the frog slowly being boiled alive without realizing it.

With articles such as yesterday's, Olive harvest threatened by deadly bacteria, I am pointing out the SLOW but steady destruction of our agricultural infrastructure and food supply. Don't be the frog that just sits there because the water isn't immediately scalding. Get yourself to safety while you still can. Get ready. Prepare now. We do have time. But not forever.
