"Do the best you can, with what you've got, where you're at." -- Pastor Joe Fox (aka VikingPreparedness)
It can seem overwhelming to do everything that needs to be done. There is so much we need to prepare for and to do, and seemingly so little time in which to do it. It is easy to get discouraged. I get discouraged at times, myself.
Please don't get discouraged. Please don't give up. As Pastor Joe Fox (aka VikingPreparedness) often says "Do the best you can, with what you've got, where you're at."
None of us has unlimited money, me included. None of us has unlimited time or unlimited energy. We all have our own problems and obstacles to overcome. I doubt anyone is doing it perfectly. And that is okay. Do the best you can.
Just keep doing it. Keep pushing. Do something, however small or big, everyday to improve your position.
How do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time. How do you prepare for our dystopian future? One step at a time. One day at a time.
Can't afford to move to your dream homestead in the mountains? Okay. Do the best you can where you're at, while you pay off debt and save money so that you can afford to move in the future. And do some gardening now, if you can, to get the experience. Learn first aid now. Work on your health and fitness now. Don't use the fact that you're "stuck" in the city or suburbs as an excuse to do nothing. Move forward a little at a time.
The more you do, the better off you will be when dystopia hits us full force. You'll never be "perfectly" safe from dystopia. But perfect is the enemy of good enough.
"Do the best you can, with what you've got, where you're at."
